About Bike Bus
Join us for a fun-filled bike ride to school! Bike Buses started in Barcelona and have attracted world wide fame with Portland, Oregon lead by coach Sam Balto. Biking to school celebrates kids independent mobility, teach the importance of physical activity towards mental health and cognitive well-being.
Bike Busses travel at a very slow pace. Whether your child is a pro on two wheels or just starting out, this event is perfect for riders of all ages, abilities, and skill levels.
Bike Bus Details
Safety in Numbers: Adults will be tasked to ride ahead and behind the group for visibility and signalling. All traffic laws are to be obeyed, all kids must wear helmets. Advisories are sent to community and city communications to advise drivers to be mindful along route, or choose a different route at that time.
Note this is not a school sanctioned event. All kids must be accompanied by an adult.
